Kyoto Naniya Gallery

Kyoto Naniya Gallery was founded by Saimon Co., Ltd. (西聞株式会社), a Kyoto-based company dedicated to sharing the beauty and spirit of Japanese culture with visitors from around the world.

Housed in a traditional Kyoto machiya, the gallery presents a carefully curated collection of Japanese antiques, tea utensils, ceramics, artworks, and handcrafted objects that embody the refinement of Japanese aesthetics and craftsmanship.

Beyond the gallery, Saimon Co., Ltd. also operates two historic Kyoto townhouses—Nishodo Hikaru Gojo and Nishodo Hikaru Oike. These beautifully preserved kyomachiya, each with more than a century of history, serve as intimate venues for authentic cultural experiences. Guests are invited to engage with Japanese traditions through activities such as tea ceremony, calligraphy, painting, and other cultural programs conducted within the atmosphere of historic Kyoto architecture.
